When we design a landscape, we often think of structure—hedges, stone paths, and architectural lines. But a garden without a focal point is like a body without a soul. When Russel first reached out to KS, he wasn't just looking for a statue; he was looking for a representation of his family’s journey. He wanted a horse that didn't look static.
"I want to see the wind in its mane," he told our design team. Over several weeks of deep communication, Russel and our lead artisans co-sketched a monumental galloping horse. We focused on the anatomical precision of the muscle lines, ensuring that the mirror finish would catch the sunlight at different angles to simulate movement.
The result was a 3-meter-long masterpiece that now stands at the heart of his ranch. To Russel, this isn't just a "metal horse"—it’s a spiritual totem of his family’s resilience and their forward-moving spirit.
Sometimes, a global bestseller is born from a single person's passion. Abi, a long-time collector, had a lifelong obsession with the sacred deer of Nara, Japan. She had traveled there countless times, captivated by the quiet, bowing grace of the animals.
She wanted to bring that "Eastern Zen" to her contemporary garden in London but struggled to find something that felt modern rather than traditional. Together, we embarked on a creative journey to simplify the deer’s form into elegant, flowing curves. We experimented with a pose of a deer mid-graze - lowered head, peaceful silhouette, perfectly still.
The interaction of the mirror-polished surface with the green grass made the deer appear to "drink" the landscape itself. Abi’s vision was so profound that this design became one of our most iconic pieces: the KS-011 Contemporary Mirror Stainless Steel Grazing Deer Sculpture. Today, it brings that same Nara-inspired tranquility to estates across the globe.
